Highmark Inc. is looking for an Associate Project Manager to lead the definition, planning, and delivery of complex programs requiring cross-functional collaboration. You will manage interdependencies between projects within scope, quality, time, and budget constraints.
What You'll Do
- Work with business and technical teams to define program strategy and approach.
- Organize, plan, and maintain a program roadmap of cross-functional activities.
- Assemble and lead project teams, including Project Managers and contractors.
- Develop and maintain comprehensive program plans.
- Partner with Executive Sponsors and Business Owners to achieve program objectives.
- Monitor and report on program status for scope, schedule, budget, and strategic alignment.
- Direct corrective action to maintain program viability.
- Develop and maintain positive customer relationships.
- Deliver presentations to communicate status throughout the project lifecycle.
- Adhere to Highmark project management methods and lifecycle methodologies.
- Contribute to the improvement of project management practices.
What We're Looking For
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- One (1) to three (3) years of experience in project coordination activities such as analysis, documentation, schedule maintenance, status reporting, and budget tracking.
Nice to Have
- Bachelor’s degree.
- PMP certification or equivalent training.
- Health Care Insurance industry business and operational knowledge.
- Leadership, solid organizational, and planning skills.
- Exposure to an industry-standard software development lifecycle.
- Good verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Experience with customer relationship management.
- Presentation, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills.
- Experience with Risk Mitigation Planning.
Team & Environment
You will manage a group of internal exempt and/or matrixed employees and contractors, reporting to an Executive Sponsor and Business Owner.
Work Mode
This position requires working onsite.
