As an Associate Project Controls Consultant, you will play a key role in managing financial and scheduling controls across complex infrastructure projects. Your responsibilities include monitoring budget performance, preparing cost forecasts, and analyzing financial trends to support informed decision-making.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage project controls functions, including cost tracking, baseline development, and financial reporting
- Interpret drawings and specifications to establish accurate project baselines
- Monitor earned value performance and conduct variance analysis on labour, hours, and expenditures
- Review contractor invoices and subcontract commitments in alignment with project funding
- Prepare expenditure forecasts to identify potential funding constraints
- Support change management processes and maintain detailed tracking of change orders
- Develop and maintain databases that align subcontractor funding with work progress
- Participate in project cost reviews and assist in performance measurement activities
- Contribute to the development and implementation of project controls procedures
- Guide junior team members in completing assigned tasks and analyses
Qualifications
You bring proven experience in project management office (PMO) practices within infrastructure consulting. You are proficient in financial reporting, cost forecasting, and baseline budgeting, with a solid understanding of accounting principles as applied to project delivery. Familiarity with cost/schedule integration, critical path methods, and rescheduling concepts is essential. You are skilled in using core project systems to manage cost data, track performance, and generate meaningful project insights.
