Spexi is hiring an Associate Product Manager – (12 Month Maternity Leave Contract)

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with relevant teams across the organization to ensure alignment with business objectives and priorities.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for stakeholders, clearly communicating product updates, timelines, and priorities.
  • Support the definition, monitoring, and analysis of key performance indicators (KPIs) aligned with company objectives to measure product success.
  • Use data insights to inform product decisions, identify opportunities, and prioritize enhancements.
  • Listen to our participants’ concerns and ideas, ensuring user needs and opportunities for improvement are considered and evaluated through the product manager workflow to determine feasibility and potential implementation.
  • Develop detailed user personas to guide product decisions and resonate with target audiences.
  • Participate and help faciliate Agile ceremonies, including sprint reviews, retrospectives, and daily stand-ups.
  • Maintain a well-groomed and prioritized backlog that reflects business priorities and team capacity.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, competitor offerings, and emerging technologies to maintain a competitive edge.
  • Identify opportunities for differentiation and innovation in the product space.
  • Proactively address challenges during development and deployment, ensuring alignment with technical feasibility, user needs, and business goals.
  • Collaborate with QA teams to develop test plans and ensure the product meets quality standards.
  • Maintain detailed documentation for product features, requirements, and updates.
  • Provide regular progress reports and presentations to leadership and stakeholders.
  • Drive initiatives from ideation to completion with minimal oversight.
  • Define and articulate a clear product vision that aligns with the company's mission and strategic goals.
  • Inspire cross-functional teams to embrace and execute on this vision, fostering a shared sense of purpose.
  • Advocate for long-term product innovation while balancing short-term deliverables.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to develop effective product launch plans, messaging, and materials.
  • Ensure successful launches by coordinating cross-functional efforts.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of product management experience, ideally with mobile applications or consumer-facing products, and experience supporting products through multiple stages of the product lifecycle, from discovery through launch and iteration.
  • Strong analytical skills that enable you to interpret data, identify trends, and make informed decisions to drive product success.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, allowing you to create clear documentation and effectively present ideas to stakeholders.
  • Proven ability to collaborate with diverse stakeholders, balancing user needs, technical feasibility and business goals.
  • A self-starter mindset, thriving in fact-paced, dynamic environments with a passion for user experience and a commitment to continuous learning.
  • Attention to detail combined with strategic focus on achieving big-picture goals.
  • A collaborative approach to working across teams and building strong relationships, coupled with empathy for end-users and a drive to advocate their needs.
  • Proficiency with tools like Jira, Figma, and Notion.
  • Solid understanding of Agile methodologies.

  • A keen interest or experience in cryptocurrency and blockchain technology.
  • Familiarity with gamification concepts or prior experience in the gaming industry.
  • A background in drone technology, with preference given to candidates with hands-on flying experience.

Additional Information

  • This is a full-time, fixed-term opportunity to provide maternity leave coverage.
  • The anticipated contract term is from August 17, 2026 through September 3, 2027.
  • To ensure a smooth transition, the successful candidate will ideally begin up to two weeks prior to August 17, 2026 for onboarding and knowledge transfer.
  • This position offers remote work from the comfort of your home, with occasional in-office requirements at our office located on the 800 block of Powell Street, Vancouver, BC.
  • Candidates in the greater Vancouver area will be given first consideration, followed by those in other parts of British Columbia, and then across Canada.
