Miami University Libraries is hiring an Associate Head or Assistant Swimming Coach to assist the Head Swimming Coach in the administration and operation of the swimming program. You will support all areas of program management, including training, student-athlete development, and recruiting, ensuring alignment with university and athletic conference policies.
What You'll Do
- Execute the training program and daily practices within the Miami system as designated by the Head Coach.
- Support the development and growth of student-athletes through goal meetings, academic advising, and individualized training plans.
- Assist in the mentorship of assistant coaches with the help of the Head Coach.
- Handle recruiting responsibilities, including local club visits, emails and calls with prospective student-athletes, and support for official visits.
- Oversee administrative areas based on your experience.
- Assist the head coach in conducting the Swimming & Diving Programs in accordance with all NCAA rules and Miami University requirements.
- For the Associate Head Coach role: Take on additional responsibilities related to recruiting coordination and lead the team in the head coach’s absence.
What We're Looking For
- A Bachelor's degree.
- 1-3 years of related experience coaching at the club, high school, or college level.
- For the Associate Head Coach role: 3 or more years of related experience at the club, high school, or college level.
Nice to Have
- A Master's Degree.
- An understanding of the rules and policies of the NCAA.
- Previous college coaching experience.
Team & Environment
You will report directly to the Head Swimming Coach.

- Compensation range: $41,000-$52,000
