About the Role
The Junior General Counsel - Energy will be responsible for delivering legal advice and support to the energy sector, with a focus on regulatory compliance, contract management, and risk mitigation.
Responsibilities
- Provide legal advice and guidance on energy-related matters
- Draft, review, and negotiate contracts and agreements
- Ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations
- Manage legal risks and issues
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support business objectives
- Conduct legal research and analysis
- Advise on corporate governance and compliance matters
- Support mergers and acquisitions activities
- Manage external legal counsel and service providers
- Develop and implement legal strategies and initiatives
- Advise on intellectual property and data protection issues
- Support the development of new energy projects and initiatives
- Advise on environmental and sustainability matters
- Manage litigation and dispute resolution processes
- Provide training and guidance to staff on legal matters
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and developments
- Advise on energy market regulations and policies
- Support the development of energy-related policies and procedures
- Advise on energy trading and marketing activities
- Manage legal aspects of energy project financing
- Advise on energy-related environmental and social impact assessments
- Support the development of energy-related public-private partnerships
- Advise on energy-related regulatory investigations and enforcement actions
