About the Role

The Junior General Counsel - Energy will be responsible for delivering legal advice and support to the energy sector, with a focus on regulatory compliance, contract management, and risk mitigation.

Responsibilities

  • Provide legal advice and guidance on energy-related matters
  • Draft, review, and negotiate contracts and agreements
  • Ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations
  • Manage legal risks and issues
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support business objectives
  • Conduct legal research and analysis
  • Advise on corporate governance and compliance matters
  • Support mergers and acquisitions activities
  • Manage external legal counsel and service providers
  • Develop and implement legal strategies and initiatives
  • Advise on intellectual property and data protection issues
  • Support the development of new energy projects and initiatives
  • Advise on environmental and sustainability matters
  • Manage litigation and dispute resolution processes
  • Provide training and guidance to staff on legal matters
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and developments
  • Advise on energy market regulations and policies
  • Support the development of energy-related policies and procedures
  • Advise on energy trading and marketing activities
