Weber Shandwick is hiring an Associate, Financial Communications

Requirements

  • Up to two years of relevant professional experience in financial communications, investor relations, and/or a related agency/corporate setting.
  • BA or BS, preferably in Business, Finance, Economics, Communications, or similar fields.
  • Solid understanding of capital markets and the issues affecting the financial and reputational well-being of companies.
  • Communicates clearly, analytically, and persuasively both orally and in writing, with meticulous attention to detail.
  • Thrives under pressure and can handle multiple time-sensitive projects in a demanding, deadline-oriented environment.
  • Fluent in Microsoft Suite (Excel proficiency is key).

Nice to Have

  • Direct experience or a strong interest in Investor Relations (IR) is a plus.
  • Must have familiarity with 'tier-one' business and financial media relations.
  • Experience with media databases (Cision, MuckRack) and financial tools (Bloomberg, S&P Cap IQ, FactSet) is a strong plus.
  • Any prior experience or background in financial communications or IR is a strong plus, but not required.
