Illumina is looking for an Associate Facilities Specialist to join our Facilities Operations group. You will manage vendors, support onsite services, and drive operational excellence across our campuses in Northern California. This role is central to ensuring our sites run smoothly and support both our employees and our mission.
What You'll Do
- Lead and manage onsite and external vendors providing site services for employee experience.
- Coordinate operational setup for remote sites and build-out of new office and common areas.
- Collaborate with local, regional, and global teams to ensure site alignment.
- Evaluate daily priorities and product allocations to support customer orders and internal requests.
- Work closely with the Financial Facilities Specialist for accurate financial reporting, budget tracking, and invoicing.
- Analyze past results, perform variance analysis, identify trends, and recommend improvements using LEAN principles.
- Generate metrics and reports, and escalate discrepancies as needed.
- Acquire and maintain understanding of technologies used in Illumina processes.
- Provide input into OpEx and CapEx budgets.
- Assist procurement with RFP processes and vendor quotes.
- Read and interpret contracts, including MSAs, SOWs, and Amendments.
What We're Looking For
- 0–2 years of professional experience.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
- Physical capability to stand and walk for long periods, and lift/move up to 50 lbs.
- Proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite.
- Confidence to take delegated tasks and seek clarification when needed.
- Willingness to complete a broad range of administrative responsibilities.
