Lead and evolve a high-impact client solutions team that turns nuanced investment inquiries into data-driven deliverables. In this role, you'll guide the end-to-end experience—from initial discovery to final output—ensuring clarity, feasibility, and precision at every stage. You’ll work directly with clients to identify the core questions behind their requests, define success, and deliver tailored insights using diverse datasets such as transaction flows, web traffic, app analytics, and proprietary spending signals.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead client engagements by uncovering underlying needs, setting realistic expectations, and aligning deliverables with investment theses
- Translate complex asks into structured projects with clear timelines, methodologies, and tradeoffs
- Mentor and manage a team of data analysts, ensuring high standards in analytical rigor, reproducibility, and client communication
- Oversee the production of both one-time deep dives and recurring data products, including market share reports, custom scrapers, and on-demand interview summaries
- Develop templates, automation tools, and reusable pipelines to increase team efficiency without compromising quality
- Integrate AI-assisted workflows to accelerate scoping, data validation, and narrative generation
- Collaborate with engineering and research teams to leverage proprietary infrastructure and scale delivery capacity
- Establish best practices for project intake, quality assurance, and knowledge reuse across ad hoc and long-term engagements
Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience applying alternative data to answer strategic business or investment questions
- 1–2 years leading teams or cross-functional projects, with a focus on mentorship and development
- Proven ability to work directly with clients and extract core analytical objectives from broad requests
- Strong technical fluency in SQL and Python, with experience building or maintaining production data pipelines
- Familiarity with tools like Databricks, Spark, and GitHub is a plus
- Experience navigating ambiguous, evolving datasets with shifting definitions and taxonomies
- Commercial judgment to scope projects effectively and support repeatable client outcomes
- Interest in leveraging AI to enhance ETL, QA, and reporting workflows
