Lead the future of AI-powered software development by managing a team focused on building a robust, reusable AI platform. This role is central to shaping how AI capabilities are delivered across product teams, ensuring they are secure, efficient, and aligned with long-term technical strategy.
What You’ll Do
- Guide and develop a team of engineers responsible for an agentic AI platform, promoting ownership, continuous learning, and high engineering standards
- Own delivery timelines, roadmap execution, and technical prioritization—balancing immediate product demands with sustainable platform evolution
- Collaborate with senior engineers to define architecture, review system design, and enforce consistent platform practices
- Partner with Product Management to translate strategic goals into actionable engineering plans and measurable outcomes
- Ensure the platform supports reliable AI patterns including agent orchestration, retrieval-augmented generation (RAG), data grounding, and reusable components
- Work closely with QA, Security, and domain specialists to embed quality, compliance, and safety into every stage of development
- Champion operational excellence through incident response, post-mortem analysis, and improvements in performance, reliability, and cost efficiency
- Advance AI-assisted development by guiding adoption of tools like GitHub Copilot and AWS Kiro through training, standards, and safeguards
- Strengthen collaboration with DevOps, Data, Infrastructure, and Developer Success teams to enhance CI/CD, deployment safety, and system observability
- Manage full-cycle team development—including hiring, onboarding, performance reviews, and career growth
- Serve as a technical and delivery escalation point, helping teams navigate complex challenges and make informed trade-offs
What We’re Looking For
- At least 5 years leading software engineering teams, with proven experience in coaching, performance management, and talent development
- 8+ years of hands-on software engineering, with technical depth to contribute meaningfully to architectural decisions
- Experience managing platform or shared infrastructure teams used by multiple product groups
- Solid understanding of AI systems—LLM applications, RAG, agent frameworks, and safety considerations (direct coding not required)
- Track record building cloud-native applications on AWS, with attention to scalability, security, reliability, and cost
- Ability to collaborate effectively with Product, QA, Security, and technical stakeholders in complex environments
- Strong communication and leadership skills, with a focus on alignment, clarity, and execution
- Experience driving adoption of engineering best practices—CI/CD, observability, and AI-enabled workflows
- Fluency in English, both written and verbal
Preferred Background
- Experience in regulated or compliance-sensitive industries
- Familiarity with financial, accounting, or audit workflows
- Prior leadership in AI platforms or developer enablement systems
