Genomics is hiring an Associate Director of Business Development, Life Sciences

About the Role

Genomics is looking for an Associate Director of Business Development, Life Sciences to drive revenue growth by selling our genetic health data, technology, and consulting services to pharmaceutical and biotechnology companies. This senior individual contributor role is focused on identifying, developing, and converting high-value opportunities through deep, consultative client relationships.

What You'll Do

  • Identify, develop, and convert high-value opportunities from a cold start.
  • Build strong, consultative relationships with clients in pharma and biotech.
  • Proactively map target accounts and stay across industry trends and drug pipelines.
  • Develop and deliver compelling pitches and lead negotiations from first contact to deal close.
  • Work closely with colleagues across Science, Marketing, and Operations to ensure proposals are compelling and delivery is aligned.
  • Log activity in CRM and share insights regularly with the wider BD team to help shape strategy.

What We're Looking For

  • Experience in a commercial sales role within biotech, pharma, or genetics.
  • Strong knowledge of the life sciences or healthcare industry.
  • Proven ability to meet or exceed revenue goals.
  • Skilled in CRM, reporting, and client engagement.
  • Commercially driven with a track record of exceeding sales targets in biotech, pharma, or health data.
  • Experience selling complex scientific or technical solutions.
  • Understanding of how pharma companies work, including how they buy, plan pipelines, and invest in innovation.

Team & Environment

You will work closely with colleagues across Science, Marketing, and Operations to ensure client success and strategic alignment.

This is a remote position open to candidates based in Boston, the US East Coast, or the UK.
