Freestar is hiring an Associate Director, Demand Partnerships

About the Role

Freestar is looking for an Associate Director, Demand Partnerships to report to the VP of Demand Partnerships and act as the primary liaison between Freestar and our SSP and ad tech business partners. You will leverage a robust understanding of ad tech to propel partnerships forward in both revenue and innovative products for our publishers.

What You'll Do

  • Strategize and plan for display and video revenue growth.
  • Grow deal revenue by conducting analyses and optimizations across your assigned book of business.
  • Manage and mentor the team to provide effective support to publishers and partners.
  • Act as an escalation point for problems, prioritizing and deploying solutions.
  • Work cross-functionally as the team lead and representative for the Demand Partnerships team.
  • Manage and delegate tasks and projects within the team to ensure successful execution.
  • Facilitate regular weekly, bi-weekly, and monthly calls with demand partners to focus on day-to-day objectives and identify new business opportunities.
  • Liaise closely with product and engineering teams to facilitate seamless onboardings for new partners and products.
  • Collaborate with finance and data teams to resolve discrepancies and ensure prompt partner payments.
  • Stay informed of evolving privacy and identity initiatives.
  • Remain abreast of industry trends by engaging with partners and understanding their impact.
  • Lead and participate in quarterly, mid-year, and year-end business reviews with partners.
  • Attend industry events to gain insights and contribute to the expansion of Freestar's business.

What We're Looking For

  • 6-7 years of ad tech experience, demonstrating a comprehensive understanding of the industry's complexities.
  • Direct experience working at or with SSPs, DSPs, ad management companies, or publishers.
  • Proven project management experience, overseeing the end-to-end process of bringing new products or clients on board.
  • Excellent skills in people management, ensuring the team forges strong partnerships.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills for building and maintaining strong relationships.
  • Proficiency in SSP platforms, Hubspot, Google Products, and Microsoft Excel.

Nice to Have

  • Understanding of Google Ad Manager, Looker, and JIRA.
