AECOM is hiring an Associate Cost Manager (Construction Consultancy)

About the Role

This role involves managing cost planning and financial oversight for construction projects, providing strategic cost advice, and supporting project delivery from concept through to completion.

Responsibilities

  • Lead cost planning and budget development for construction initiatives
  • Prepare detailed cost estimates at all project stages
  • Support procurement processes including tender preparation and contractor evaluation
  • Monitor project expenditures and maintain cost control systems
  • Produce regular cost reports for project stakeholders
  • Assist in risk assessment related to project budgets
  • Collaborate with design teams to optimize value engineering
  • Manage change order evaluations and cost impact assessments
  • Ensure compliance with client specifications and regulatory standards
  • Contribute to feasibility studies and project viability analysis
  • Coordinate with contractors and consultants on cost matters
  • Support lifecycle cost forecasting and benchmarking
  • Deliver cost advice during design development phases
  • Assist in final account reconciliations
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of construction market trends
  • Work on multiple projects across different sectors simultaneously
  • Use cost management software and digital tools effectively
  • Participate in client meetings and project reviews
  • Help ensure projects remain within approved budgets
  • Support senior staff in delivering cost consultancy services
  • Contribute to process improvements within the cost management team
  • Engage in quality assurance reviews of cost documentation
  • Assist in training junior team members
  • Maintain accurate project cost records and databases
  • Support project closeout and final cost reporting
