Responsibilities
- Act as a subject matter expert on Time & Attendance, supporting senior team members on complex initiatives, including advising on changes due to updates in Collective Bargaining Agreements.
- Manage all aspects of employee leave and working time policies with precision throughout the employee lifecycle for internal and external staff, covering areas such as family leave, sick leave, public holidays, and working time regulations.
- Provide expert advice on employment laws and interpret legal requirements from labor legislation and employment contracts to guide clients and employees.
- Coordinate with internal and external parties, including payroll, legal advisors, and government agencies, to ensure compliance in all employee lifecycle processes.
- Support senior team members in executing large-scale projects affecting multiple countries and assist in HR and financial audits to uphold adherence to local labor regulations.
- Create and maintain global internal resources related to Time & Attendance, updating them in response to legal changes for use across internal teams.
- Respond promptly and accurately to internal and external queries on employment topics in coordination with relevant lifecycle stakeholders.
- Identify and support improvements in processes, automation, product development, and overall experience across the employee journey.
- Handle employee data and confidential information securely, following established protocols with professionalism and discretion.
- Uphold organizational values in all interactions, contributing actively to the achievement of team objectives.
Requirements
- Demonstrated experience managing employee lifecycle events with attention to legal compliance, sensitivity, and cross-jurisdictional employment regulations, along with providing thorough HR guidance.
- Strong communication, negotiation, conflict resolution, and influencing abilities, with a track record of guiding challenging discussions to constructive outcomes while maintaining confidentiality.
- Business-level fluency in written and spoken English.
- A drive to improve workflows, with a consistent focus on identifying automation opportunities and advancing best practices.
- Operational efficiency with a commitment to accurate documentation and data integrity.
- Technologically proficient, able to collaborate asynchronously using various digital tools and adapt to evolving systems.
- Able to work independently and as part of an international team in a fast-moving, remote, asynchronous setting with multiple concurrent priorities.
- Familiarity with tools including Notion, Slack, Zendesk, and G-suite for communication, documentation, and project management.
- Interest in AI and understanding of its practical uses in streamlining operations and automation.
