About the Role
This role supports the integration of clinical knowledge with health information systems to enhance documentation, improve coding accuracy, and streamline clinical processes through technology solutions.
Responsibilities
- Translate clinical practices into digital workflows within electronic health records
- Collaborate with clinicians to assess documentation needs and identify optimization opportunities
- Assist in designing and refining clinical content for EHR systems
- Support data collection and analysis to evaluate clinical documentation performance
- Participate in testing updates and new features in clinical software platforms
- Provide feedback to development teams based on frontline clinical insights
- Help train medical staff on EHR functionality and best practices
- Identify gaps in coding specificity and recommend documentation improvements
- Work with interdisciplinary teams to align clinical guidelines with system configurations
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of regulatory and compliance standards

- Contribute to process improvement initiatives using clinical data
- Ensure patient safety and quality standards are reflected in system design
- Support go-live activities for new implementations or upgrades
- Serve as a liaison between clinical end users and technical teams

- Assist in standardizing terminology across care settings
- Monitor system performance related to clinical documentation
- Promote adoption of evidence-based templates and order sets
- Gather user feedback to inform system enhancements
