The Department of Physician Assistant Studies at the University of Tennessee Health Science Center College of Medicine is seeking a full-time, twelve-month, non-tenure track Assistant/Associate Professor. This faculty position is based in Memphis, TN.
What You'll Do
- Develop, review, and revise the program's mission statement, goals, and competencies
- Select applicants for admission to the PA program
- Provide student instruction and evaluate student performance
- Offer academic counseling and assure the availability of remedial instruction
- Design, implement, coordinate, and evaluate the curriculum
- Evaluate the overall program
What We're Looking For
- Master’s Degree from an accredited Physician Assistant program
- Three (3) years of clinical experience with a history of precepting PA students or other medical trainees, OR one (1) year of clinical experience with additional training in teaching, education, or involvement in an academic medical training program
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Current NCCPA Certification
- Eligibility for Tennessee Physician Assistant State Licensure
