HSBC Group is hiring an Assistant Vice President - Compensation Services. In this role within the Group Performance & Reward team, you will play a key part in supporting our global compensation strategy. You’ll be responsible for the effective execution of annual performance and pay-review cycles, ensuring processes run smoothly and align with Group guidelines.
What You'll Do
- Support and oversee end-to-end delivery of annual performance management and pay-review cycles globally, including data preparation, reporting, validation, and exception handling.
- Champion data accuracy and integrity throughout all compensation processes, proactively identifying and resolving issues.
- Coordinate and follow up on Mission Control calls, ensuring timely resolution of key actions and strong alignment across global teams.
- Prepare impactful presentations and materials for forums, supporting clear communication and enabling strategic decision-making.
- Review and refine articles, guidelines, and FAQs for clarity, consistency, and relevance to a diverse stakeholder base.
- Develop user-friendly resources that simplify compensation processes for employees and managers worldwide.
- Deliver actionable insights through advanced data analysis, helping stakeholders interpret trends and make evidence-based decisions.
- Coordinate market benchmarking activities, including vendor management, data submission, and analysis, ensuring accuracy and timely delivery.
- Ensure strong risk management frameworks and controls are in place across all critical processes, ensure policy compliance and actively reducing operational risks.
- Support audit processes and uphold the highest standards of data integrity and confidentiality.
- Build effective relationships with P&R Partners, Consultants, and global teams to ensure seamless execution of compensation processes.
- Collaborate with Group Reward SMEs and consultants to drive process simplification, standardization, and continuous improvement.
- Support implementation of key Performance & Reward projects, working with cross-functional teams to deliver on time and to quality standards.
- Communicate process changes and updates to P&R colleagues, ensuring understanding and adoption through clear, targeted messaging.
- Contribute to Post Implementation Review feedback, identifying areas for enhancement and championing continuous improvement.
- Lead teams, including coaching, developing, and motivating team members to achieve objectives.
- Foster an inclusive and collaborative team environment, encouraging diverse perspectives and supporting professional growth.
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in HR, Economics, Mathematics, Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Extensive experience in HR, with deep expertise in Reward/Compensation processes at a global or regional level.
- Proven track record of leading complex projects and influencing senior stakeholders in a matrix organization.
- Advanced proficiency in MS Excel and analytical tools.
- Exceptional analytical thinking, problem-solving, and consultative skills, with clarity of thought and expression.
- Ability to thrive in high-pressure, fast-paced environments and adapt to evolving business needs.
- Strong relationship management and communication skills, with a demonstrated ability to navigate complex, multicultural organizations.
- Experience in leading teams or managing people; working with multi-country teams and managing diverse perspectives.
