Responsibilities
- Foster a secure and consistent learning environment in the classroom
- Develop strong, constructive connections with students
- Facilitate small group instruction in reading, writing, and mathematics
- Assist in leading Pursuits, an interdisciplinary program designed for hands-on learning, by preparing necessary materials
- Observe and promptly report individual student needs to the lead teacher
- Help maintain classroom cleanliness, safety, and organization, including supervision during arrival, dismissal, meals, breaks, and transitions
- Adhere to established safety procedures and respond to staffing coverage requirements
- Ensure clear communication and reliable follow-through on assigned duties
