About the Role

The Pennsylvania State University is hiring an Assistant Research Professor to join its Materials Science and Engineering department. In this research-focused role, you will develop advanced phase-field models and software for non-linear optical responses while supporting graduate student development.

What You'll Do

  • Develop phase-field models of non-linear optical responses
  • Build and maintain the corresponding modeling software
  • Co-supervise graduate students in their research

What We're Looking For

  • Ph.D. in Materials Science and Engineering
  • Minimum 3 years of postdoctoral experience in phase-field method development
