Join Cushman & Wakefield as a Floating Assistant Property Manager for multifamily communities. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining our properties to a market-ready standard and ensuring a high level of service at all times. You will build and motivate high-performing teams to maximize property performance and uphold our mission to be the best national management company.
What You'll Do
- Ensure the smooth running of our community in a fast-paced environment.
- Assist the Property Manager with overall operations including maintenance, capital improvements, lease administration, budgeting, forecasting, reporting, collections, evictions, vacancy anticipation, marketing, lease renewals, service contracts, expense control, and audits.
- Assist in providing superior customer service and communication to residents and prospects to enhance satisfaction, increase renewals, revenue, reputation, and profitability.
- Complete lease and renewal paperwork to company standards.
- Track and evaluate advertising and all client traffic.
- Assist with the day-to-day operations of the entire on-site team, ensuring all company policies and procedures are followed.
- Maintain effective on-site staff through interviewing, hiring, and coaching as necessary.
- Maintain resident files according to company standards.
- Maintain a positive living environment through prompt conflict resolution and consistent follow-up.
- Manage and maintain all aspects of the overall community budget and finances.
- Work with leasing staff to ensure leasing and marketing goals are met.
- Perform any other related duties as required or assigned.
What We're Looking For
- High School Diploma, GED, or Technical/Vocational school is required.
- 3+ years of Property Management experience.
- 1+ year of Management experience.
- Effective communication and customer service skills.
- Computer literacy, including proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and internet navigation.
- General office, bookkeeping, and sales skills, along with excellent oral and written communication.
- Ability to manage a team.
Nice to Have
- A Bachelor’s Degree is preferred.
