Gray Construction is looking for an Assistant Project Manager to join the Food & Beverage team. You will manage project progress, budgeting, procurement, and subcontractor coordination to ensure the successful completion of construction projects.
What You'll Do
- Develop, update, and monitor job progress using the QMS program, including scheduling, estimating, and budgeting.
- Perform quantity take-offs, cost estimates, and bid solicitation.
- Purchase and coordinate material delivery, ensuring optimum price, quality, and conformance to specifications.
- Review and approve invoices and change orders.
- Negotiate with subcontractors and vendors to ensure all scope is encompassed.
- Review vendor and subcontractor shop drawing submittals.
- Relocate to specific job sites as required to become familiar with procurement and construction practices.
- Attend weekly job site meetings and assist in preparing various reports, such as monthly red files and billings.
- Assist in organizing and maintaining job files to ensure continuity of workflow.
- Submit verbal and written project status reports to your supervisor.
- Communicate effectively with customers, direct consultants, and subcontractors.
- Be responsible for the communication, implementation, and enforcement of Gray’s safety program on site.
What We're Looking For
- A Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university.
- A minimum of three years of related experience.
- Basic computer skills, including word processing, spreadsheet, and e-mail applications.
- May require a working knowledge of scheduling applications.
- You are an energetic, self-motivated individual who enjoys a team environment.
- You have a passion for collaboration and professional development.
- You must be physically present in the Charlotte office.
- This role is not eligible for visa sponsorship.
