About the Role
This role works closely with the Department Manager to uphold high standards in customer service, team development, and operational efficiency within the produce department.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with the Department Manager to support exceptional service and efficient operations aligned with a premium fresh shopping standard.
- Provide friendly, assured, and interactive customer assistance that enhances the overall shopping experience.
- Partner with leadership to implement department plans and meet performance targets.
- Encourage team growth through coaching, training, recognition, and consistent professional conduct.
- Lead routine team meetings to communicate goals, celebrate wins, share product insights, and offer constructive feedback.
- Assist in daily operations by maintaining customer service quality, proper product display, inventory rotation, staffing levels, and area cleanliness.
- Handle administrative duties such as inventory tracking, supply ordering, invoice processing, schedule coordination, and payroll tasks.
- Ensure adherence to food safety, health, and safety protocols as well as provincial regulations to support a secure environment.
- Support overall store performance by completing additional tasks as needed.
