Farm Boy Inc. is hiring an Assistant Meat Manager

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with the department supervisor to uphold exceptional service and operational standards aligned with company values.
  • Provide friendly, assured, and interactive customer interactions that support a premium fresh shopping environment.
  • Partner with leadership to implement department plans and meet performance targets.
  • Assist in team growth through training, guidance, encouragement, and recognition while upholding professionalism and discretion.
  • Lead routine team meetings to communicate goals, celebrate successes, share product insights, and offer constructive feedback.
  • Maintain daily department functions including customer support, proper product display and stock rotation, staffing coordination, and cleanliness.
  • Handle administrative duties such as inventory tracking, supply orders, invoice processing, schedule management, and payroll tasks.
  • Ensure adherence to food safety, health regulations, and workplace safety protocols to protect product quality and team well-being.
  • Support overall store performance by taking on additional responsibilities as needed.

  • Work closely with the Department Manager to execute departmental strategies and achieve stated goals and performance objectives.
  • Support team development through training, coaching, motivation, and recognition while maintaining a high level of trust, confidentiality, and professionalism.
  • Lead regular team huddles to share goals, recognize achievements, exchange product knowledge, and provide meaningful feedback to build engagement and connection.
  • Support daily operations by ensuring outstanding customer service, accurate merchandising and rotation, adequate staffing coverage, and consistent department cleanliness.
  • Provide office and administrative support, including inventory management, ordering, invoicing, schedule maintenance, and payroll functions.
  • Promote compliance with all Safe Food Handling and Health & Safety policies, procedures, and provincial regulations to maintain a safe and high-quality shopping environment.
  • Contribute to store success by assisting with other related duties as required.
