AECOM is seeking an Assistant Cost Manager/Cost Manager to support client-side cost and commercial management for water infrastructure projects across the UK. This role operates within AECOM's Infrastructure Cost Management team, delivering services to water companies and government bodies throughout the project lifecycle.
What You'll Do
- Work with an Associate to successfully cost/commercially manage, coordinate and deliver water projects
- Manage and deliver capital investment projects as part of a team
- Provide client-side cost/commercial management support during all stages of the project delivery lifecycle
- Support option studies, option development, and construction tender support
- Support NEC contract administration and on-site delivery and commissioning phases
- Take responsibility for the successful delivery of Cost/Commercial Management commissions
- Participate in appropriate meetings and proactively engage in discussions
- Contribute to the PEP (Project Execution Plan)
- Prepare cost reports
- Assist with procurement strategies and tender documentation
- Perform general post-contract commercial management and administration
- Proactively engage with Client, contractor, and other stakeholders
- Be aware of the scope of service and ensure delivery within agreed parameters
- Help prevent disputes whenever possible
- Support client-side cost management, including stakeholder, risk, and contract management
- Ensure projects and commissions are delivered to the satisfaction of the client for quality, cost, and time
- Develop strong relationships with clients and members of the cross-functional team
- Support business development opportunities with existing and new clients
- Provide support on contract management services on NEC4 contracts
- Administer contracts through a contract management system
- Advise the client on procurement strategies
- Review tender documentation
