The Assistant Controller will play a vital role in managing the accounting function at Schoox, LLC, supporting the Controller in financial reporting, compliance, and operational efficiency. This position oversees core accounting processes and contributes to strategic finance initiatives across the organization.
What You'll Do
- Manage finance department operations, including accounts payable, billings & collections
- Review contract terms and implications
- Review semi-monthly payroll runs
- Calculate sales commission payments
- Perform monthly close of income statement and balance sheet
- Conduct reconciliations of accounts
- Perform G/L analysis
- Ensure timely cash collection by driving the timing for monthly billing and other cash management techniques
- Lead advanced preparation and coordination of fiscal year-end audits
- Support Finance Department initiatives, such as software and systems implementation and other departmental or firm-wide improvements, with research, planning, and implementation, as required
- Distinguish and evolve process improvements to streamline reporting and improve team efficiency
