Sanctuary Care, a not-for-profit organization providing high-quality care with dignity and respect, is seeking an Assistant Chef for the Iffley Residential and Nursing Home in Oxford. You will be crucial in preparing varied, high-quality menus and maintaining excellent food safety standards, directly contributing to the well-being of our residents while enjoying a supportive culture that prioritizes work-life balance.

What You'll Do

• Prepare varied, high-quality menus in collaboration with the Chef Manager.
• Promote and maintain food hygiene and safety standards throughout the kitchen.
• Carry out risk assessments and ensure the kitchen environment is clean and safe.
• Engage daily with residents, visitors, and colleagues in a friendly and approachable manner.
• Support a positive dining experience for everyone at the home.

What We're Looking For

• Experience working in a catering environment.
• A valid food hygiene certificate.
• A friendly and approachable demeanor with a genuine passion for good food.
• The ability to work effectively as part of a team.
• A commitment to high standards of safety and care.

Team & Environment

You will be part of a friendly kitchen team, working closely with and supporting the Chef Manager.
