Assent is looking for an Assent Project Manager to provide dedicated, inward-facing support for our India teams. You will be responsible for managing overall India Centre activities, tracking product deliverables, facilitating executive alignment, and handling operational tasks to enable engineering managers to focus on technical work.
What You'll Do
- Work closely with the India Managing Director on India Centre activities, tracking deliverables, innovation, team activities, and brand building.
- Serve as the key point of contact for India leadership, cross-functional teams, and external vendors or clients.
- Facilitate executive steering committees to ensure alignment with strategic priorities from worldwide leadership.
- Deliver clear, consistent communication throughout the product development lifecycle.
- Enable engineering managers by offloading non-technical and operational tasks.
- Understand worldwide processes from the CTO's office and help the India team align, preventing siloing or duplication.
- Work with engineering leaders to develop comprehensive project/product roadmaps, defining milestones and success criteria.
- Collaborate on estimating resources, budgets, and timelines for project execution.
- Proactively track project performance against key performance indicators (KPIs).
- Analyze changes in requirements and scope, and implement change-management strategies.
- Champion digital initiatives, including automation, AI/ML, and modernization.
- Drive adoption of best-in-class digital solutions across departments.
- Define clear roles, responsibilities, and expectations for project team members.
- Foster a results-driven culture and inspire engineering teams to meet ambitious goals.
- Resolve conflicts within project teams fairly and promptly.
- Facilitate team-building activities and retrospectives to strengthen collaboration.
- Provide coaching and support for professional development.
- Coordinate administrative requirements for team events.
- Work with managers to ensure teams align with the worldwide-defined project dashboard.
- Deliver executive-level presentations on critical metrics, highlights, challenges, and recommendations.
- Engage stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle to incorporate input and manage expectations.
- Partner with external vendors, contractors, and consultants, ensuring adherence to contracts.
- Address and resolve stakeholder escalations promptly.
- Ensure all project documentation is up to date and accurate.
- Establish and oversee a risk-mitigation framework to identify and address potential challenges early.
- Oversee India site-level risks, including non-engineering deliverables.
- Prioritize and manage issues during the development cycle, coordinating rapid resolutions.
- Conduct root-cause analyses for recurring risks and implement preventive measures.
What We're Looking For
- 5 to 10 years of experience, compulsory in the software industry.
- Deep understanding of how enterprise-class software is delivered.
- Deep understanding of how technical software developers work.
Nice to Have
- Experience in a product development organization.
- Experience working as a Project/Program Manager in a product development environment with Director/VP-level engineering leadership.
- Technical knowledge of engineering tools and software.
- Proficiency in project management tools such as Microsoft Project, JIRA, or similar platforms.
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
