Acuity International is seeking an Armed Security Supervisor to lead armed guard teams and ensure the security of facility perimeters and high-risk areas. In this role, you will be responsible for upholding compliance with ICE Performance-Based National Detention Standards while directing staff and managing critical security operations.
What You'll Do
- Oversee armed guard teams across all shifts
- Monitor use of force protocols and weapons handling
- Coordinate detainee transport and external security operations
- Train staff on tactical response and emergency procedures
- Patrol facility perimeter and secure entry/exit points
- Escort detainees during external movements
- Respond to security breaches and emergencies
- Maintain weapons and tactical gear readiness
- Provide direction and guidance to security staff
- Implement emergency plans and achieve rapid recovery of program support services
- Enforce safety standards, risk monitoring, and risk management protocols
What We're Looking For
- High school diploma or GED
- 3–5 years of experience in armed security, military police, or law enforcement
- Familiarity with ICE Performance-Based National Detention Standards (PBNDS)
- Familiarity with detainee transport protocols, perimeter security, and emergency response procedures
- Strong multitasking, detail orientation, organization, and excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to obtain and maintain favorable background investigations
- Proficiency in English and ability to receive and understand detailed information
- Proficiency with computers, common office equipment, and the MS Office suite
- Ability to meet contract requirements for all immunizations
- Ability to work full-time hours, weekends, and holidays
- Must be at least 21 years of age
- Must be a US citizen or permanent resident and have resided in the US for 3 of the past 5 years
Nice to Have
- Associate or bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice, Law Enforcement, Homeland Security, or a related field
- 1–2 years in a supervisory role
- Law enforcement or military background
- ORR or ICE experience
- CPR/First Aid certification
- Active firearms certification, Use of Force, and defensive tactics training
- Bilingual language skills
- Favorable federal investigation at the Tier 2 level or higher within the last 24 months
- Ability to travel
