Star Pubs, part of HEINEKEN UK, is looking for an Area Sales Manager to lead the implementation of our sales strategy in your assigned focus city—either Berlin or Munich, including the surrounding area. You will play a key role in shaping the success story of Heineken in Germany by ensuring optimal placement, distribution, and visibility of our brands in the grocery retail sector.
What You'll Do
- Secure and expand portfolio listings through holistic customer consultation, strong point-of-sale execution, and identification of new growth potential.
- Independently and confidently manage customers in grocery retail, beverage wholesale, and cash & carry.
- Analyze regional market and growth potential and prepare and lead annual negotiations with key gold customers.
- Take autonomous responsibility for your territory and tour planning, identify potential, build sustainable customer relationships, and optimize listings.
- Drive excellence in execution at the point of sale with compelling sales conversations for our products.
- Optimize brand presence, distribution, visibility, and the presentation of promotions/secondary placements at the point of sale.
- Implement global brand and activation campaigns and manage external merchandisers, including quality monitoring.
- Work closely with MBU & Key Account, Marketing, Category Management, and Sales Support to execute regional growth plans.
- Contribute to strategic off-trade projects and share regional insights to improve planning and forecasts.
- Contribute to your own projects or special tasks to further develop our processes and your personal growth.
What We're Looking For
- Experience in sales, ideally in the consumer goods sector.
- Knowledge of the structures in the German grocery retail sector and category management.
- A completed university degree or completed vocational training.
- Motivation for a career in sales/field service.
- Passion for sales and our brands, strong negotiation skills, and an affinity for numbers.
- Confident handling of KPIs, CRM data, and digital tools.
- Organizational talent, efficient planning, and enjoyment of a varied daily routine.
- An open and authentic manner with high sensitivity for customer needs.
- Residence in the sales territory (Berlin or Munich) or willingness to relocate.
- Valid driver's license and willingness to travel.
Nice to Have
- Initial professional experience in consumer goods sales.
- Existing knowledge of the beverage industry.
- Good English skills for small talk.

Team & Environment
You will be part of the respective sales region, reporting to the Commercial Manager. You will work closely with MBU & Key Account, Marketing, Category Management, and Sales Support.
