About the Role

The University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences (UAMS) is hiring an Appointment Business Center Scheduler I/II (Access Coordinator). In this call center role, you will answer telephones and coordinate appointments, playing a crucial part in supporting patient care activities.

What You'll Do

  • Schedule, reschedule, coordinate, and cancel appointments
  • Input and update accurate patient information
  • Communicate accurate and complete information
  • Maintain strict confidentiality
  • Perform other duties as assigned

What We're Looking For

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Basic proficiency with computers, preferably MS Office
  • Excellent telephone etiquette skills
  • General knowledge of office machines like printers and scanners
  • Level I: One (1) year of customer service experience
  • Level II: Two (2) years of customer service experience

Nice to Have

  • Call center experience
  • Experience in registration, billing, or scheduling in a healthcare environment
  • Knowledge of basic medical terminology

Benefits & Compensation

  • Level I: $15.00/hour ($31,200 annually)
  • Level II: $15.26/hour ($31,740.80 annually)
