Seed-X is looking for an Application Engineer & Project Manager to oversee the build, installation, and maintenance of our AI-powered salmon sorting machines in Northern Europe. In this role, you will manage the full solution lifecycle, supervise manufacturing with partners, and lead new development projects.
What You'll Do
- Supervise the build process during machine manufacturing by our partners.
- Own installation, integration, and maintenance throughout the machine lifecycle.
- Conduct problem analysis, support, and troubleshooting via remote diagnostics and on-site visits.
- Execute and document feasibility studies.
- Specify and project manage the development of new solutions.
- Own the product/solution through its complete life cycle in collaboration with partners and management.
- Manage and document process, project, specifications, and drawings.
What We're Looking For
- Proven experience in automation as an Automation, Mechatronics, or Electronics Engineer.
- Track record of deploying automation solutions (machines) in the field.
- Ability to apply solution thinking, considering all aspects of the automation solution.
- Project management skills.
- Ability to apply an agile work style to iterate quickly.
- Self-directed and solution-oriented work approach.
- Excellent communication and outstanding analytical skills.
- Experience in customer interaction and client-facing roles.
- BSc in Automation, Mechatronics, Electronics Engineering or a similar field.
- Willingness and ability to travel up to 80% of the time.
- Very good English proficiency.
