As an Application Engineer in Postsales, you will serve as a technical bridge between customers and complex software systems, ensuring users fully leverage the platform’s capabilities. Your work will center on direct customer engagement, troubleshooting, and driving resolution for technical inquiries across industries including automotive, defense, and robotics.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct regular office hours and provide first-line technical support to customer teams
- Manage incoming requests, triage issues, and coordinate solutions to enhance product value
- Lead focused workstreams during customer engagements to support user groups
- Track, document, and communicate bug reports and feature requests
- Act as a technical point of contact, managing the lifecycle of customer-reported issues
Qualifications
We’re looking for someone with hands-on experience in software support or development, particularly in customer-facing technical roles. You should be comfortable debugging in Python, C++, and Linux environments and have a strong attention to detail.
- Proven experience in application engineering or developer support roles involving end users
- Proficiency in debugging and working within Python, C++, and Linux systems
- Background in quality assurance with interest in growing customer-facing and technical skills
- Excellent communication abilities and a focus on resolving technical challenges
Preferred Experience
- Work with automotive OEMs or suppliers
- Background in autonomous vehicles, robotics, or simulation software
- Familiarity with simulation tooling and development environments
Work Environment
This is an onsite role with primary locations in Sunnyvale, San Diego, Washington, D.C., Ft. Walton Beach, Ann Arbor, London, Stuttgart, Munich, Stockholm, Bangalore, Seoul, and Tokyo. Employees are expected to work from the office five days a week, with limited flexibility for remote adjustments such as starting the day from home or occasional early departures.
Compensation & Benefits
The annual salary range for this position is $105,000 – $165,000 USD. In addition to base pay, the role includes equity through stock options or restricted stock units.
