This role is responsible for delivering precise product recommendations based on customer specifications, acting as a technical point of contact throughout the solution lifecycle. The engineer collaborates closely with internal departments—including Design, Production, Quality, and Supply Chain—to align customer requirements with feasible, efficient designs.
Key Responsibilities
- Translate customer needs into viable product configurations using engineering judgment and system knowledge.
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams to resolve technical challenges and ensure timely execution.
- Respond to inquiries via phone, email, or video conferencing with clear, professional communication.
- Support post-sale technical issues by diagnosing problems and identifying effective resolutions.
- Utilize resources across Engineering, Manufacturing, and Logistics to fulfill customer demands efficiently.
- Prepare documented pricing and proposal packages for customized or modified products.
- Assist field sales in account management, product strategy, and achieving financial targets.
- Help refine internal processes to support lean methodologies and measurable performance improvements.
Qualifications
A bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering Technology, or a related field is required, or equivalent practical experience. Candidates must demonstrate a firm grasp of core engineering and manufacturing concepts, strong written and verbal communication skills, and proficiency in standard Microsoft Office applications.
Prior experience in technical support or application engineering—especially at an entry level—is advantageous. Familiarity with Lean manufacturing and Six Sigma principles is preferred.
Work Environment
This position operates in a hybrid model, allowing remote work flexibility. The role supports locations across the United States, Mexico, the Caribbean, and Europe.
Compensation and Benefits
The salary range for this position is $70,000 to $85,000 per year.
