Global Atlantic Financial Group is hiring a Vice President, Annuity Product Design to join the Individual Market Team. In this leadership role, you will drive product development and innovation to fuel sales growth, focusing on designing and pricing new annuity products to achieve a sustainable competitive advantage and manage profitability. You will collaborate across functions and with KKR to design and launch new solutions.
What You'll Do
- Lead timely research, development, and robust product pricing of new annuity solutions.
- Use MG-ALFA or other actuarial projection software to develop disciplined pricing models and risk analysis for new product designs.
- Effectively balance competitive and pricing objectives to achieve overall company goals.
- Implement best practices in pricing methods, automation, organization, and documentation.
- Ensure product designs fit the desired risk/profitability profile and policy forms provide levers to manage profitability.
- Collaborate with the Annuity Product Implementation team during new product implementation, supporting filings, marketing, and sales illustrations.
- Collaborate with the Inforce Pricing team to set rates on new products and incorporate them into product management processes.
- Communicate with peers in product, risk management, investments, marketing, legal, and operations.
- Develop and maintain industry knowledge of economic, regulatory, and competitive environments to support product development.
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor’s Degree in Actuarial Science, Math, Statistics, Computer Science, Physics or Engineering.
- Five plus years’ experience in programming financial models in actuarial modelling software (R3S, Prophet, Axis or MG Alfa) or other programming language such as Python, C/C++ or Java.
- Fellow of the Society of Actuaries.
- Demonstrated ability to think creatively and strategically, championing products throughout the organization.
- Demonstrated ability to lead projects and navigate matrixed organizations.
- Experience leading Product strategy development, financial analysis, and product innovation.
- Leadership experience and knowledge of insurance, capital markets and risk.
- Track record of product innovation and raising liabilities at attractive funding costs.
- Detailed understanding of product vehicles, legal and regulatory structures, and investment requirements of retail products.
- Good communication skills and ability to influence senior levels of the organization.
- Demonstrated ability to align internal and external resources to partner for successful outcomes.
- Ability to coach, mentor and share knowledge with others in the organization.
- Must be able to travel occasionally to other offices (i.e., Des Moines, Hartford, New York, Wayne (PA)).
- Experience designing business cases and successful implementation strategy.
Nice to Have
- Five plus years of experience in the annuity/life insurance industry.
- Product development experience.

Benefits & Compensation
- Compensation Range: $150,000—$190,000 USD

This role operates on a hybrid schedule and is based in one of our office locations: Hartford, CT; Des Moines, IA; or New York, NY.
