Bachem is hiring an Analytical Project Manager QC to strengthen our PM team. In this role, you will represent Analytical Operations within CMC sub-teams for New Chemical Entity projects focusing on peptides and oligonucleotides. You will lead analytical activities and serve as a key interface for internal departments and global customers.
What You'll Do
- Work in interdisciplinary teams as the responsible Analytical Project Manager for peptide and oligonucleotide NCE projects, representing Analytical Operations in CMC sub-teams.
- Lead and manage all analytical activities including release and stability testing, API characterization, method development and validation, specification setting, and know-how transfer.
- Evaluate analytical results, draw relevant conclusions, and communicate effectively to customers and across organizational interfaces.
- Support troubleshooting within your own and broader area of responsibility.
- Lead the transfer of know-how or procedures to other departments, sites, or external partners and vice versa.
- Assess and consolidate resource needs and timelines for projects.
- Interact directly with different internal departments across all sites and with our global customers.
- Collaborate closely with our Business Development group to align with customer needs.
What We're Looking For
- A university degree in Analytical Chemistry, Biochemistry, Pharmaceutical Sciences, a related field, or equivalent technical education and industrial experience.
- At least 5 years of hands-on, practical experience in analytical development or QC, preferably with cGMP experience; ideally in peptide or oligonucleotide analysis.
- Scientific project management and matrix leadership skills.
- Capability to interpret and present complex analytical data and provide solutions with a hands-on mentality to external and internal stakeholders.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Solid analytical knowledge and understanding of CMC development.
- Knowledge of CMC requirements for regulatory filings and understanding of regulatory expectations.
- Advanced language skills in English (at least C1, both oral and written) and a good level of German.
- Sound knowledge of MS Office including MS Project.
