Qnity Electronics was looking for an Analytical Lab Investigator

Analytical Lab Investigator – We're seeking a skilled professional to lead sample analysis and materials characterization in a high-impact technical environment. You'll play a central role in supporting research, manufacturing, and customer-facing initiatives by designing and executing experiments, maintaining instrumentation, and delivering accurate analytical results.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct detailed sample analysis and materials testing using advanced techniques across multiple platforms
  • Plan and carry out experiments in coordination with R&D, engineering, and quality teams to resolve product and process challenges
  • Operate, calibrate, and maintain laboratory equipment, ensuring reliability and compliance
  • Develop and update standard operating procedures for safe and efficient lab operations
  • Compile, interpret, and report analytical data to support technical decision-making
  • Collaborate with cross-functional groups including manufacturing, field service, and product engineering

Qualifications

  • Master’s degree or higher in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or Materials Science/Engineering
  • At least 3 years of hands-on experience in an analytical laboratory setting
  • Proven expertise in analytical methods, instrument operation, and data interpretation
  • Familiarity with techniques such as optical micro-spectroscopy, chromatography, thermo-analysis, surface imaging, and particle characterization
  • Strong technical writing skills, including SOP development and report generation
  • Proficiency in data analysis software, including JMP; ability to learn new tools quickly
  • Fluency in both English and Mandarin required
  • Independent problem-solver capable of managing multiple projects with minimal supervision

Preferred Background

  • Specialization in analytical chemistry or materials analysis
  • Experience with CMP (chemical mechanical polishing) technologies
  • Background in semiconductor manufacturing or chemical production
  • Familiarity with statistical analysis and JMP software
  • Prior work in a global, multidisciplinary environment
  • Strong interpersonal skills and a collaborative mindset
