Imperial Supplies, a Grainger Company, is looking for a Financial Analyst to play a key role in financial analysis, planning, and reporting for Grainger Canada. You’ll develop insights from financial results and support strategic initiatives around customer segmentation and profitability.
What You'll Do
- Assist in the development of monthly, quarterly, and annual analyses of Grainger Canada’s financial results.
- Work with regions and corporate functions on ad hoc financial analyses of customer, product, or service-related opportunities.
- Support the annual financial planning process, including preparing analyses, reports, and presentations.
- Assist in completing quarterly financial forecasts and developing contingency plans.
- Analyze customer segmentation, including refining the Small, Medium, Large, and National Account methodology.
- Review and update the customer segment profitability analysis.
- Assist in developing Capital Appropriation Requests, including financial forecasts and discounted cash flow analyses.
What We're Looking For
- Completion of a university degree, preferably in Business Administration or Commerce.
- Up to 2-3 years’ experience in a similar financial analyst role.
- Strong business acumen and ability to understand the broader context of assignments.
- Excellent Microsoft Office skills with a strong emphasis on Excel.
- Demonstrated initiative in process improvement.
- Strong customer service focus and consulting skills.
- Proven organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to effectively present information verbally and in writing to all levels of management.
Nice to Have
- Experience within a distribution environment.
- An accounting designation.
