At Jones Lang LaSalle (JLL), we empower our people to shape a brighter way. We’re seeking an Analyst-Finance to join our team and deliver precise financial management for a portfolio of properties. This role involves preparing financial statements, managing the month-end close process, and ensuring accurate reporting, working within established procedures with a moderate degree of supervision.
What You'll Do
- Prepare financial statements for a portfolio of properties, including General Ledger month-end close, actual to budget variance review, cash management, audits, bank reconciliations, and spreadsheet preparation.
- Archive all related documentation for audit purposes.
- Process vendor payments according to the account schedule and adhere to payment authorization processes.
- Work with the account team to complete manual journal postings before monthly closing.
- Prepare timely and accurate monthly property financial statements and additional supporting schedules for owners.
- Provide JDE finance support to site staff and the account team via email or phone.
- Submit financial statements and work papers in reviewable form and within proper timeframes.
- Manage cash for assigned properties, including reviewing client bank statements and applying deposits against tenants.
- Reconcile bank statements on a timely basis and follow up on outstanding checks and reconciling items monthly.
- Arrange monthly funding from clients to accommodate payments and/or distributions.
- Coordinate and organize year-end audit work and prepare supporting schedules.
- Maintain a working knowledge of mortgage agreements and management agreements for assigned properties.
What We're Looking For
- Minimum 1-3 years of Operational/General ledger accounting and Finance experience, including Profit & Loss analysis and Balance sheet overview.
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and logical thinking.
- Impactful communication (written and verbal) to interact with clients and strong interpersonal skills.
- Demonstrated consistency in values, principles, and work ethics.
- Working knowledge of MS Office (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
Nice to Have
- Experience in real estate accounting.
