Responsibilities
- Respond promptly and professionally to client inquiries and requests regarding pension plans
- Calculate and process termination, retirement, and death benefits for medium-sized plans, and review similar cases for simpler plans
- Produce accurate annual pension statements at year-end
- Gather and prepare membership and asset information needed for actuarial valuations
- Interpret and apply pension benefit formulas according to plan rules and legal requirements
- Maintain and verify data integrity within pension databases
- Attend internal training sessions to remain current on industry developments
- Contribute to client meetings and presentations with relevant insights
- Support special initiatives that align with team objectives
Requirements
- Post-secondary education or relevant coursework, preferably in Mathematics, Statistics, Actuarial Science, or a field related to Pension Administration
- Strong analytical abilities and a keen eye for detail
- Self-motivated collaborator who works well independently and as part of a team
- Superior organizational capabilities
- Fluent written and spoken English communication skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
