Oaktree is hiring an Analyst to join our Closed-End Fund Accounting team. This role focuses on supporting our Global Private Debt strategy. You will be responsible for maintaining the books and records for various private partnerships and accounts, while providing essential reporting to clients and the portfolio group.
What You'll Do
- Partner with investment, Deal, and Cash Operations teams to manage cash for the fund(s).
- Monitor the portfolio’s impact on fund performance in collaboration with investment professionals.
- Review investment transaction bookings, including purchases, sales, corporate actions, and other activities.
- Analyze cash and liquidity needs; prepare proposals for capital calls, distributions, and borrowing.
- Collaborate across Tax, Valuation, Compliance, Client Services, Corporate Accounting, and Reporting & Performance groups.
- Monitor FX hedging and work with Treasury to execute trades and fulfill reporting obligations.
- Oversee the monthly closing process, including calculating management and incentive fees and reviewing accruals and reconciliations.
- Review capital activity, including capital calls, distributions, subscriptions, and redemptions.
- Review quarterly and annual financial statements prepared in accordance with U.S. GAAP.
- Participate in ad hoc projects and analysis as needed.
What We're Looking For
- Minimum 2 years of relevant accounting or audit experience.
- Knowledge of closed-end private investment funds.
- Strong knowledge of reconciliation and account analysis.
- Strong judgment and analytical skills, with proven ability to communicate proactively, analyze and escalate issues, and reach conclusions under tight deadlines.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

- Public accounting experience.
- Experience with Geneva and/or Geneva World Investor, and Markit WSO/SS&C (notice portal).
