Bellwetheram-2 is hiring an Analyst, Debt to join our Debt Asset Management Team. In this role, you will be instrumental in preserving and creating value within our portfolio of commercial real estate debt investments. You will work alongside the investment team on the origination, underwriting, and execution of debt investments, while maintaining complex financial analyses and evaluating portfolio performance.
What You'll Do
- Assist in the proactive monitoring and management of a portfolio of debt investments across various property types.
- Review and analyze business plans, leasing activity, and monthly property operating performance.
- Perform market-level due diligence.
- Maintain detailed and complex asset-level cash flow reforecasting models.
- Organize investment level data on a monthly & quarterly reporting basis.
- Once up to speed, oversee and train incoming analysts.
- Evaluate and analyze potential new debt investments and assist with due diligence and execution.
- Perform additional ad-hoc analysis as needed.
- Assist with ongoing monitoring and evaluation of investment performance, business plan execution, and sub-market fundamentals.
- Summarize and present on portfolio performance to senior management.
- Perform cash flow modeling, competitive property analysis, and market research analysis.
What We're Looking For
- A minimum of 1 year of relevant experience.
- Demonstrated interest in commercial real estate analytics.
- Bachelor’s degree required.
- Experience in the development and analysis of real estate-based financial models with a focus on multifamily, office, and industrial assets.
- Ability to build out a complex financial model from scratch including waterfalls and various debt structures.
- Property underwriting and advanced financial modeling and analytics.
- Ability to understand and analyze loan documents, leases, and management agreements.
- Ability to perform responsibilities independently and proactively, solve problems, and improve processes and/or services.
- Self-directed, takes initiative and responsibility, ensures completion of tasks.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills; strong listening and interpersonal skills.
- Highly effective at preparing and presenting information.
- Acts with honesty and integrity and maintains confidentiality, adheres to company policies.
