What You'll Do
Work closely with finance and IT teams to understand reporting needs and translate them into functional designs. You'll define KPIs, structure report layouts, and create specifications for Power BI, Excel, and other analytics tools, ensuring alignment with global standards.
Validate the integrity of financial data from D365 Finance & Operations and support data extraction and modelling processes. You'll ensure that reports accurately reflect core financial statements—Profit & Loss, Balance Sheet, and Cash Flow—as well as operational metrics and reconciliations.
Lead or assist in testing activities, including system integration and user acceptance phases. Document test cases, monitor defect resolution, and verify that reporting outputs meet requirements for accuracy, performance, and usability.
Requirements
- Experience gathering financial reporting requirements and maintaining structured reporting inventories
- Strong understanding of D365FO data models and financial reporting frameworks
- Ability to design functional specifications for Power BI and Excel-based reports
- Skill in creating and maintaining detailed documentation—data mappings, definitions, process flows, user guides, and test scripts
- Experience supporting D365FO implementations or system upgrades in a reporting capacity
- Proven ability to train end users and provide post-implementation support
- Familiarity with global compliance and auditability standards in financial reporting
