Work Schedule: Monday through Friday, Weekend shifts (Saturday and Sunday) Scheduled Hours: Weekdays 7:30am-5:30pm (flexible); Weekend 8am-12pm Shift Type: 1 - Daytime, 8-Hour Shift (United States) Total Weekly Hours: 40 Department: 10020 - 4180 Pediatrics Clinic Union Representation: SHARE (State Healthcare and Research Employees) Potential signing bonus available - recruitment team will confirm eligibility during interview process. Major Responsibilities: - Welcome patients for scheduled and urgent care appointments - Validate patient demographic and insurance information - Process patient co-payments upon arrival - Obtain treatment consent signatures from patients/guardians - Evaluate patient needs, including financial counseling, translation services, and social support referrals Position Qualifications: Education Requirements: Required: - High School Diploma or equivalent Preferred: - Associate's or Bachelor's degree Experience/Skills: Required: - Minimum 1 year related experience (waived with relevant degree) - Proficiency with specialized software and computer systems - Ability to perform effectively under high-stress conditions - Demonstrate professional behavior and exceptional interpersonal communication skills Preferred: - Understanding of medical office procedures and terminology UMass Memorial Health is an equal opportunity employer committed to diversity and inclusion.
