Novartis is hiring an Allergy Territory Account Specialist to serve key accounts and Health Care Providers in the San Diego, CA area. This field-based role is central to designing customized customer experiences, acting as the primary point of contact to identify mutual priorities and leverage Novartis resources to enhance patient outcomes.
What You'll Do
- Pinpoint mutual priorities and use insights to formulate a strategic territory business plan aimed at enhancing product demand.
- Encourage clinical discussions that motivate customers to advocate for patients and involve the account team to identify barriers and offer solutions.
- Utilize market, competitor, and industry trend expertise to foresee and manage business opportunities and challenges.
- Conduct essential planning meetings with key stakeholders to tackle complex customer issues and collaborate effectively across departments.
- Examine market data and trends to understand the local business landscape and lead both virtual and live customer interactions.
- Utilize systems and omni-channel strategies to maximize the complete range of Novartis capabilities for personalized customer engagement.
- Work collaboratively with regional colleagues, other field staff, and home-office teams to proactively meet customer needs.
- Deliver timely access assistance and collaborate with Patient Specialty Services (PSS) associates to address customer requirements efficiently.
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor’s degree required.
- 2+ years’ experience in specialty pharmaceuticals, biotech, or a sales role of similar complexity within the last 5 years.
- Demonstrates a strong ability to collaborate and work effectively across various functions in a matrix environment.
- Communicates clinical product details proficiently.
- Maintains a proven history of consistent high performance.
- Excels at navigating and successfully selling to large accounts and key customer segments.
- Proactive individuals with strong analytical skills to identify, prioritize, and use relevant data to solve problems.
- Showcases ethical leadership and promotes a culture of compliance with company policies and laws.
- Candidate must reside within territory, or within a reasonable daily commuting distance of 50 miles from the territory border.
- Ability to travel 60-80% over a broad geography is required.
- Ability to drive and/or fly within the territory.
- Must have a valid driver’s license.
Nice to Have
- Advanced degree a plus.
- Experience across therapeutic groups, disease states, account management strategy, and new product launches.
- Broad understanding in patient services, market access, buy and bill, specialty pharmacy, reimbursement and/or medical calling on HCPs with respect to a sophisticated product or reimbursement pathway.

Benefits & Compensation
- Territory Account Specialist: $93,800 - $174,200 per year.
- Senior Territory Account Specialist: $114,100 - $211,900 per year.
- Executive Territory Account Specialist: $126,000 - $234,000 per year.
