KLA is seeking an Algorithm Development Engineer to join the LS-SWIFT Division within our Global Products Group. In this role, you will be responsible for developing cutting-edge algorithms for patterned wafer inspection systems used in high-volume semiconductor manufacturing.
What You'll Do
- Design, develop, and implement algorithms in areas such as deep computer vision, signal processing, machine learning, and image processing.
- Rapidly prototype and validate new ideas related to image processing and machine learning.
- Develop end-to-end solutions that consider the system, imaging pipeline, user experience, and application requirements.
- Work cross-functionally to drive the systems integration of algorithms.
- Write robust, production-quality code.
- Own the full development cycle of algorithms from prototype to production.
What We're Looking For
- MS or higher degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or Physics.
- Solid theoretical background in signal and image processing.
- Strong computer vision and image processing skills.
- Good communication skills in English.
Nice to Have
- MS with 5+ years of related experience, or a Ph.D. (new college graduate).
- Proficiency in C/C++, Matlab, Python, and object-oriented design.
- Understanding of machine learning and deep learning.
- Knowledge of common deep learning frameworks like TensorFlow and PyTorch.
- Ability to formulate problems into mathematical equations.
- Team player with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Willingness to travel worldwide to support customer demos and projects.
