Responsibilities
- Support the creation of civil airfield planning, design, and construction documentation in coordination with aviation design and planning professionals.
- Maintain consistent communication with internal teams, contractors, and subcontractors across active planning, design, and construction initiatives.
- Deliver diverse civil engineering services for aviation projects, including planning, design, construction oversight, and client coordination for both general aviation and commercial airports.
- Lead planning, direction, and oversight of multi-disciplinary projects involving runways, taxiways, aprons, service roads, lighting, signage, navigation systems, drainage, utilities, and pavement upgrades.
- Contribute to airport project lifecycle activities such as grading, drainage design, pavement engineering, specification development, and construction safety planning.
- Coordinate with multidisciplinary engineering and technical teams to ensure integrated project delivery.
- Manage design tasks using AutoCAD and AutoCAD Civil 3D software.
- Evaluate geospatial, survey, geotechnical, as-built, and subsurface utility data to inform project development.
- Foster and sustain strong professional relationships with clients.
- Liaise with clients, funding bodies, state aviation departments, FAA representatives, and local permitting authorities.
