Responsibilities
- Support the creation of civil engineering plans and construction documents for airfield infrastructure in coordination with aviation design professionals.
- Maintain consistent communication with internal teams, contractors, and external consultants throughout project lifecycles.
- Deliver civil engineering services related to airfield design, planning, construction oversight, and client coordination for both general aviation and commercial airports.
- Lead planning, oversight, and execution of complex, multi-disciplinary airport projects including runways, taxiways, aprons, access roads, lighting, signage, navigation systems, drainage, utility adjustments, and pavement upgrades.
- Assist in managing airport development activities such as earthwork, stormwater systems, pavement specifications, technical documentation, and construction safety protocols.
- Coordinate with cross-functional engineering and technical teams to ensure integrated project delivery.
- Manage design tasks using AutoCAD and AutoCAD Civil 3D software.
- Evaluate geographic information systems (GIS) data, as-built drawings, land surveys, geotechnical reports, and subsurface utility records to inform project development.
- Foster and sustain strong relationships with clients through responsive and professional engagement.
- Liaise with clients, funding bodies, state aviation departments, the FAA, and local regulatory agencies to ensure compliance and alignment.
