Responsibilities
- Design and develop radar systems for air traffic management applications
- Conduct system-level testing and validation of radar performance
- Analyze radar signal data to identify and resolve operational issues
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on system integration
- Ensure compliance with Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) regulations
- Produce technical documentation for system design and operation
- Support field installation and commissioning of radar equipment
- Troubleshoot hardware and software anomalies in radar subsystems
- Evaluate system performance under various environmental conditions
- Participate in design reviews and technical audits
- Implement software updates and configuration changes for radar units
- Monitor system reliability and recommend improvements
- Interface with government and aviation stakeholders
- Maintain system security and data integrity protocols
- Support certification and recertification processes
- Perform risk assessments for system modifications
- Develop test plans and procedures for radar validation
- Work with vendors to integrate third-party components
- Ensure electromagnetic compatibility in system design
