We’re looking for an engineer who thrives on turning manual processes into seamless, automated systems. In this role, you’ll directly shape how a small, fast-moving team operates by deploying AI and scripting solutions that save time and reduce friction across departments.
What You’ll Do
- Identify time-consuming workflows and rebuild them using scripts, AI agents, and integrated tools
- Design and deploy chatbots for screening tutor candidates, answering parent inquiries, and retrieving internal knowledge
- Build pipelines using large language models to extract structured data from complex documents like IEPs, contracts, and school district reports
- Automate the creation of outreach emails, proposals, and impact reports tailored to district requirements
- Develop retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) systems to make internal documentation instantly searchable
- Connect core platforms—CRM, scheduling tools, Google Workspace, email, and communication apps—into unified workflows
- Streamline tutor onboarding with automated document collection, compliance tracking, and system enrollment
- Eliminate data silos by syncing information across platforms to remove copy-paste tasks
- Set up alerting systems using Slack and email triggers based on key operational events
- Build simple, effective internal tools using Google Apps Script, Airtable automations, and lightweight dashboards
What We’re Looking For
- Proven ability to spot inefficiencies and implement durable automation solutions
- Hands-on experience creating AI-driven workflows and managing LLM-based systems
- Strong scripting skills and experience integrating disparate software platforms
- Familiarity with RAG architectures and document data extraction techniques
- Track record of delivering functional improvements on a weekly cadence with minimal oversight
- Experience working with CRM systems, scheduling tools, and Google Workspace APIs
- Ability to build practical internal tools without requiring full-stack development support

Team & Culture
