Red Hat is hiring an Agile Release Train Engineer - AI

About the Role

Red Hat is looking for an Agile Release Train Engineer (RTE) - AI to support our expanding AI capabilities and resources. You will be responsible for leading Scaled Agile (SAFe) practice and maturity across teams supporting AI disciplines, driving delivery and dependencies for cross-AI initiatives, and coaching continued SAFe adoption within our open, collaborative culture.

What You'll Do

  • Work in partnership with Data & AI leads to proactively manage key deliverables for all technical work streams, managing dependencies and risks.
  • Instill and drive maturity for the ceremonies, principles, methods, and role clarity within Red Hat Operations’ SAFe operational model.
  • Directly lead cross-team SAFe ceremonies.
  • Review backlogs and planned work schedules to provide guidance on priority tasks for the AI roadmap.
  • Maintain the AI Jira instance and lead continued adoption and automation of the backlogs within and linked to it.
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement via retrospectives, Inspect & Adapt sessions, and utilization of Jira reports and data.
  • Enable repeatable planning through Sprint Planning, Refinement, and quarterly PI Planning.
  • Raise potential issues or blockers with technical leads and provide mitigation options.
  • Ensure all deliverables and commitments meet quality standards and expectations.
  • Maintain discretion and confidentiality in all areas pertaining to data and proprietary information, whether internal to Red Hat or customer specific, as well as Personally Identifiable Information (PII).

What We're Looking For

  • Demonstrated understanding and expertise in Agile delivery methodologies.
  • 5+ years of relevant project management experience.
  • Experience participating in digital transformation projects where technology and organizational change go hand in hand.
  • Familiarity with technology and data architecture techniques and delivery.
  • Knowledge of and experience with Agile delivery and tracking tools.
  • Experience working with senior executives and system integrators.
  • Expertise in creating presentation and informational collateral using a wide set of data and information.
  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • Adept at adopting new technologies for day to day work activities.
  • Strong communications, stakeholder, and relationship management skills.
  • Ability to synthesize and analyze complex data to identify potential risks.
  • Must be comfortable operating in rapidly changing environments.

Nice to Have

  • SAFe experience preferred.
  • Master's degree nice-to-have.
  • RTE and/or Scrum Master certification given strong consideration.
  • PMP certification a bonus.
  • Jira experience strongly preferred.
