Woodward is hiring a Program Manager - Production Test Systems

About the Role

What You'll Do

Guide large-scale programs focused on production test systems, ensuring all projects are tightly aligned with organizational strategy and deliver tangible business value. Lead cross-functional teams with clarity and accountability, fostering high performance through trust, emotional intelligence, and purposeful direction. Own end-to-end program outcomes, including scope, schedule, budget, risk, quality, and integration across interdependent initiatives.

Establish and maintain governance frameworks, defining decision rights, success metrics, and progress reporting for executive and operational stakeholders. Use data-driven insights, KPIs, and financial tracking to monitor performance and adapt quickly to emerging challenges. Apply Agile at Scale and Lean Portfolio Management principles, supported by tools like Jira and Planisware, to coordinate multiple projects and maximize synergy.

Communicate effectively across all levels, tailoring messages to technical teams, executives, and external partners. Proactively identify stakeholder needs, manage expectations, and drive alignment. Lead change initiatives, address resistance, and ensure adoption of new systems and processes. Develop contingency strategies to mitigate risks and maintain program resilience in complex, evolving environments.

Requirements

This role involves access to technology and information regulated by ITAR and EAR. To comply, candidates must be U.S. Persons as defined under these regulations—meaning U.S. citizens, nationals, lawful permanent residents (Green Card holders), or protected individuals such as asylees or refugees. Non-U.S. Persons must be eligible to obtain required authorizations from the U.S. Department of State or Department of Commerce.
